We thank you :)

Innocent people died, brutally shot, beaten to DEATH.

And they died in the international water. Place where international law is applicable. But, they didn't die out of NOTHING.
They died as martyrs.

Alhamdulillah, all Malaysian activists including a reporter and
a cameramanin the attacked ship, Mavi Marmara are safe.

We thank you Allah.
Our prayers have been answered.

CURSE on you!

I don't really care about GAS or whatsoever. Politics are DIRRTY and it's actually a dirty word. period. I used to get so hyped when it comes to it (once upon a time ago)
but slowly the interest fades away.

But when it comes to global dispute; human rights, wars, Israelis, Palestinians etc I think I'm responsible to voice out my opinion. There's a book I read last year (before my final exam) but I can't recall the title. It contains few perspectives of WAR in the eyes of Israelis & also Palestinians. Funny. The former is invading the latter but the former's story is narrated so dramatic; or I can safely say it's more dramatic than what it occurred to the latter. as if the Israelis are the victims.haha.Funny. While reading the book, I just smirked and wondered, "Is this how you tell your side of story Israelis? You got to be KIDDING me". I can't specifically re-narrate what the former did narrate but it sounded ridiculous to a layman like me.hmm

So, what happened today is not something NEW, we are familiar with it; say: WAR CRIME by Israelis. yess! what had happened this morning is actually a war crime as the clash occurred in international waters. The flotilla organized by Free Gaza Movement was attacked, and yet there's no confirmation on death tolls so far. Some say 19, some 20. Only Allah Al-Mighty knows the best.

While few inhumane Malaysians are brave enough to commit infanticide (and that is actually bringing shame to my country), few Malaysians are brave enough to join the Free Gaza Movement, bringing hope to Palestinians, to little kids, to women, to elders. And now, we don't know whether they are still alive or not. I pray to Allah swt to assist the surviving volunteers; give them STRENGTH ya Allah! Bless them with patience & istiqomah! Amiin...

It doesn't matter if you're Muslims or non, let's pray that all surviving volunteers are safe and be able to return to their respective countries safely. InsyaAllah (God willing).
I'm sure there's no religion that would permit bloodshed.
So, let's PRAY!

Everyone SHALL taste death

Malaysians esp. Johoreans should know this;

Sultan Iskandar Ibni Almarhum Sultan Ismail passed away at the age of 77 on January 22, 2010 @ 7.15pm. He was the 4th Sultan of Johore (the first one was Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar, followed by Almarhum Sultan Ibrahim and Almarhum Sultan Ismail). As a pure Johorean, I'd like to express my condolence to Johorean royal family. fyi, prior to the funeral ceremony of Almarhum (Late Tuanku Iskandar), Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar; the eldest son of Almarhum was installed to be the 5th Sultan of Johore. Sultan Ibrahim is best known for his annual-project-with-commoners called Kembara Johor since 2001; and it more or less shows that Tuanku can blend well with the commoners.

May Johore be blessed with peace by Allah swt
and may Almarhum Sultan Iskandar
rest in peace.
Al-Fatihah...

Mother

I just came back from visiting a friend with more-than-you-can-imagine other friends (it's like going with the whole batch.Alhamdulillah). My friend lost her one & only Mother last night. We missed the funeral because we had Civil Procedure paper this morning. Surprisingly, she didn't cry. I didn't expect this; she looks so strong but who knows what she feels inside. Seeing a friend smiling in pain makes me feel bad and it makes my heart hurts.
because losing someone called MOTHER is unbearable.
Hana, be strong!! Hang in there! You have US

Unfortunate Events

PART 1

Well, lately lots of things happened to people around me. And I'd like to express how sorry I am.
First of all, my condolence to my friend, Hafiq who just lost his beloved grandma last Sunday. Al-Fatihah. My beloved roomate, Kinah's beloved father is being hospitalized since last Saturday. I hope all of you can pray for her father's health. If you do, may God grant your prayers. Amin... My friends; Herda & Syiqin just discharged from 7 day quarantine (since H1N1 broke out, the doctors tend to give one week MC). Alhamdulillah, they are in good condition now.

Yesterday, my younger sister called & informed me that the money she and few friends collected from lecturers & individuals were stolen! Those monies are collected for the use of the orphans (in Perak). Can you imagine; after putting all the hard work and effort to collect them; they were gone without a single cent left? Few hundreds ringgit were gone just like that and the orphans need those monies. Do the thief(s) have a heart? Whoever he/she/they are; they should remember that it is a great sin to misuse orphans' properties. Only GOD knows who YOU ARE.

PART 2

2pm

K-pop world has its up and down. Recently, a controversial issue came out as to few phrases written by the leader of 2pm-Jaebeom@Jay in his Myspace account 3 years ago (3yrs?only after 3 yrs this issue comes out?wow!this must be a conspiracy to take him down). Btw, those who are following the k-pop music, they would definitely know who 2pm is.They are one of the hottest boybands in South Korea.if you don't know anything about them, feel free to google 2pm. hmm..I don't think I should write in details what he wrote in his Myspace but the important thing is that no matter what he's written about Korea@Koreans, those words shouldn't be interpreted literally. What the phrases meant might be different from what the netizens thought it might be. Those words written by him may not indicate that he has a grudge/hatred over Koreans/Korea but just to express his unpleasant feeling he had during his trainee days (one thing I respect about Korean boy/girl band/group is that they need to be trained, supervised & monitored for quite a long period before they debut). We can presume the training period was tough enough for him and the unpleasant words came out from him can be understood as to express his feeling. Unfortunately, I'd say he's not strong enough to hang in there; until everything slows down. Jaebeom who is a Korean American officially quitted as the leader of 2pm and he went back to Seattle. I'm pretty sure my high school friend, Aishah needs sometime to heal her broken heart over this Jaebeom thing (she's a big fan of 2pm). The moral of the story; think first before you do anything. And of course, we cannot undermine the power of Netizens!! They are hated by many (not only 2pm fans) at this moment. But of course, the big fans of 2pm will definitely hunt them down! (i just can't believe that there is this petition put forward by the netizens asking for Jaebeom to commit suicide. Are they crazy?)

Influenza A H1N1 is spreading without knowing who their victim is. It was reported that Kim Hyun Joong is tested positive! He is currently held at a medical center in Tokyo, Japan (he's diagnosed with H1N1 after the Boys Over Flowers Yokohama Event and there are reports that he could stay there for up to a month). Get well Soon JiHoo sunbae!

PART 3

Lee Min Ho is coming to Singapore on October 10. arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! When I first read the first post about it in the Lee Min Ho Soompi, I was shocked (of course!) and extremely happpyyyyyyyyyyy.... but why Singapore? eh.nope.let me rephrase my sentence.hehe. Why only Singapore? Come to Malaysia!!! I'll definitely welcome him with my warm hug. *nose-bleeding* hehehehe. hmm...I wonder if I can go & meet him eye to eye in Singapore. OMG! *excited*

It's a matter of respect

"Justice is a habit whereby a man renders to each other his due with constant and perpetual will"

Throughout this week, I have thought about all sort of things. And most of them are very much related to what I'm studying right now - LAW.

Have you ever heard about an offence called Marital Rape??
In many countries including Malaysia, marital rape is a sexual offence (it's a new provision inserted into Malaysian Penal Code). Recently, there was a case involving marital rape; a husband was charged in April for committing two offences; (i) marital rape and (ii) committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature without consent (sodomy) and he was convicted last week for 10 years imprisonment and 3 strokes altogether. The case attracts my attention to share some information about it with you; not because I'm being sexist here (because I'm not), but because I believe that all men and women should know something about it.

As I mentioned earlier, Malaysia is one of the countries that criminalise marital rape. Marital Rape is defined in Section 375A of (Malaysian) Penal Code as 'any man who during the subsistence of a valid marriage causes hurt or fear of death or hurt to his wife or any other person in order to have sexual intercourse with his wife SHALL be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 5 years'. Bear in mind that in law, the word 'SHALL' means mandatory. Prior to the insertion of the provision into our Penal Code, many non-governmental organizations (NGOs) esp. women organizations (AWAM,SIS etc) proposed so that the offence be included into our Penal Code as opposed to the exception to Section 375 of the Code which provides that sexual intercourse by a man with his own wife by a valid marriage is not a rape. I'm not sure whether the exception to the said provision has been repealed or not (because I only have the older version of Penal Code plus I left my criminal law classes long..long..long time ago.ehe), but I assume it has been repealed and replaced by the new provision (s. 375A PC). Due to my interest in this issue, I brought it into a general discussion in Jurisprudence tutorial class on the topic of justice. When we talk about marital rape, we can relate it with the principle of JUSTICE. It is within our general knowledge that the purpose of us having laws is to uphold justice and at the same time to regulate the society in a better way. Thus, if we look at the offence of marital rape and relate it with justice, the explanation will be longer than we expected. In the recent case, the accused (husband) was reported to have slapped, strangled, threatened and dragged the victim (wife) to their room before having sex without her consent (this is rape). Like I said, I'm not being sexist; but justice is my concern here.

Our class discussion (if we can call it as a class discussion with only few students participate in it) continued with a question by my lecturer, "Would it be an offence of assault or force if we are talking about the husband who causes hurt to his own wife?" as he seems to disagree with the insertion of s375A into the Code. I persistently answered his question by telling him that it's not a mere assault and force and it's not even a mere rape. It's called marital rape because you can see clearly both elements of force/assault and rape exist in the provision and of course, I'd say the punishment should be more severe. I can understand if somebody can't differentiate between marital rape and rape plus it's a new offence in Malaysia (Malaysia is quite left behind I must say) but you can't simply say that they are the same because they are not. This is why browsing through the Penal Code itself is important. I know some male students had looked at the issue as a rejection or skepticism to the traditional idea that a wife should submit herself to her husband. Whatever they think of me, I DON'T CARE! (it's one of the reasons why I never be interested in dating law students.hehe.NO OFFENCE.this is my blog, I can say whatever I like). Enough. I do believe that marriage is a sacred institution whereby wife should be loved and treated with love and respect, and vice versa. And yes, I know that it's a part of a wife's duty and obligation to fulfill the husband's need but the husbands should also know that it's part of their duty to show respect to their wives.

Islam is beautiful; and it provides the best way of life. There is a hadith reported by Abu Hurairah in which the Prophet said, "The most perfect of believers in faith is he who is the best in conduct and the best of you are those who are the best to their wives". Thus, Muslims particularly are estopped to deny the fact that wives should be treated respectfully. I'm sure all religions and beliefs promote the same thing, therefore one must agree that husband and wife should be given proper treatment by their spouses. It goes without saying that slapping, strangling, causing hurt, threatening etc your another half is unforgiven acts to women (including me.I can't imagine myself to be beaten etc); what more if those are done in the course of having sexual activities (it may be a sensitive word for some people but please be open-minded;for the sake of education). Be it love-marriage or arranged marriage, husband and wife are expected to be just to each other. According to my lecturer, he said that in most countries which criminalise marital rape, the wives who purposely refuse to have conjugal activities with their husbands are bringing up the issue of marital rape. I don't know to what extent this is true but in Malaysia, it's a settled law that the wife can only bring this issue before the Court if all the elements have been fulfilled (please refer to s.375A) and wives cannot simply bring it in the event where they refuse to carry out their duties. Looking at the whole picture, I hope you will be able to appreciate the importance of law in our life. And please, KNOW YOUR OWN RIGHTS. And bear in mind that, Man & Woman need each other.

May Allah shower upon them blessing and cute babies!!hehe

A picture has thousands of stories

Kim Bum fainted on the set of Dream but don't worry, he's fine. I read somewhere that so far, Dream failed to achieve high ratings but Bummy's effort (with all sweaty and long hours training for the drama) should be appreciated. I wonder how my Lee Min Ho can still be standing healthy without any fainting whatsoever, although he's the busiest among the F4 (Kim Joon, Kim Hyun Joong & now Bummy were at least fainted once due to their hectic schedules). Maybe thanks to the ginseng and all sorts of herbs he swallowed everyday as he mentioned in few interviews.hehe

Korean Brangelina (Song Hye Kyo & Hyun Bin) are reported to announce their explosive relationship next month (September). Can't Wait!

The fact that I think only Youngseng, Kyujong & Baby Joon can sing (sorry Hyun Joong & Jung Min, I discredit both of you.ehe), they are absolutely beauties! Love this pic!

I personally wonder why Yoon Sang Hyun could gain so much attention and honestly, that curiosity generates my interest to watch this drama. So, remember! My Fair Lady will premiere on August 19.
p/s: I can't wait to watch the drama esp after watching the teasers and press conference!!!

The more I look at him, the more I agree with Mino when he was asked in an interview about his first impression on his BFF, Jung II Woo. Mino answered, "He looks like a girl". How can you be so frank Mino?? But,one thing we can't deny; they are BFFs and they could still find time having lunch together (arghhhh..I wish I have recent pics of them together!!)

I can't leave my Mino behind.ehe. These are his behind-the-scene pics when filming for Cass CF with Jessica Gomez
he's a totally hottie in eyeliner!!!a way hotter than TOP of Big Bang

Last but not least, Mino in Trugen Award (recently)
one word: HOT!

p/s:I hate when I have to bear with the slow internet connection. I could feel my patience was tested at the highest level.ehe. Good Night people & Have a Wonderful Weekend (well, I need to attend a workshop with Selangor BAR tomorrow morning.arghhhhhhhhhhh).

This is a Modern Holocaust

they have no mercy!

history-it's heartbreaking to watch, read n know what those inhumane devils (Israelis) have done to Palestinians. today's situation as a matter of fact is a Modern Holocaust.this is because the history tells us that the Holocaust is a term widely used to describe the genocide of 6 millions European Jews by the Nazi led by the infamous Adolf Hitler. As far as i know, the genocide was a part of the plans to remove the Jews from civil society before the second World War.Genocide is on the other hand means the deliberately destroying or i prefer to use the term 'cleansing' any ethnic, race, religion, group or gene.in the real life, the genocide is no longer uncommon to us and the inhumane siege in Gaza is among the examples of the genocide.i think the Jews have learnt their lessons frm the history and now they are using the same tactic used in order to cleanse the Palestinians in stages.enough about the history.

they are arrogant human-masked-devils!

the law-Eventhough there exists International Law to govern the peace of the world but yet,i don't see any difference that the law can do.eg:the attacks in various countries are still on,the death toll is increasing, the people is still suffering, the UN Security Council remain powerless etc.yes,it is true that by virtue of Art 2(4) of the UN Charter, the use of force is prohibited but Israel claims that the attacks in Gaza are under one of the exceptions to the said Article ie self-help/self-defence.

imagine they are your brother/sister/mother/father...

questions-do they think they are smart?they are wrong n im sure they know they are in fact and in law wrong, bcos self-help can be done provided that it is proportionate with the damage done.what have Hamas done to them that they hv rights to attack the innocent civilians...children,women etc(just name it!).eg,in the Tuesday incident, approximately 40 children died due to the attack in one agricultural school which is run by the UN.and again..Israelis claimed that the students were all the militants(they are brainless!)

sabarlah wahai ibu..mereka pasti ditempatkan di syurga :(

hope-i believe that the International administration will keep on promising us that the injustice will end soon but trust me,it will continue.and since the power is not with us, we as humans can always do something.Donate,Boycott and the most important thing is do PRAY so that the Israelis will be exiled from this world.Amiin..

i can feel the pain & suffering :(

Crying over Gaza

this is sad :(

just now,i came across a pic of a guy on yahoo news.the headline writes "$240,000 for t-shirt bias suit".surprisingly,i know this guy!and his name is Raed Jarrar.i met him 2yrs back(2006) at PWTC during the war crime convention.he is one of the participants, and a blogger.meeting someone who is young n having great opinions on current issues is very rare,so one of my friends approached him n she took some pics with him(lalalala..hihi).btw,he is a US resident.the reason y im telling u abt this guy is (of course)not to tell u wht we did(hihi) but rather to tell u what's going on with him.the news mentioned that he was forced by the Jetblue Airways authority(im not sure the airways belong to whom but i believe it's owned by US) to cover his t-shirt which displayed Arabic characters.this happened in 2006(hmm..i think it happened few months aftr we met him in Kl).alhamdulillah, the Ct gave judgment in favour of him n the Airways was asked to pay $240,000 in compensation to him.the decision proves that there shall be no discrimination against the Muslim community.n the September 11 incident shouldnt be a sole reason for the non-Muslims to discriminate or look down on the Muslims at large.

Raed Jarrar

and when we speak abt Muslims,im not exempted to feel responsible to share some thoughts abt Gaza.as we know, the Israeli tanks as well as gunship go blazing into towns across the Gaza Strip and until now the death toll is keep on increasing.i wasnt surprised when i 1st heard abt this, bcos it is within our general k/g tht Israel being the cruelest nation can do almost everything to other countries.but they are way too much;killing innocent civilians esp children, women n elders!Ehud Olmert(curse on him!) is w/o any doubt the most hated man as he vowed that the attack will continue until Israel completely wipes out Hamas's ability to fire rockets into Israel(yet,im x surprised by his devilish attitude)but, speaking of the role of UN in this issue, the big question arises-where the hell is the UN security council??

p/s:please pray to Allah for our brothers n sisters' safety in Palestine.to all the martyrs,Al-Fatihah goes to you..

it's me learning the international law in the midnite

Mumbai Massacre

Selamat Hari Malaysia!

bear in mind:this is not a political statement; as it is a matter of fact that Malaysia was formed on September 16, 1963.Regardless the disagreed issue on this matter,i don't care.'we live today because of history',so appreciate it.

De Facto Law Minister Zaid Ibrahim threatens to resign over ISA

when Zaid Ibrahim started to put his position at stake over the usage of ISA on unnecessary matters, Ong Ka Ting on the other hand being a typical politician, speaks out his stance that ISA is very essential as it can be invoked in the most extreme cases.

if Zaid stressed on the existence of ISA at the first place to curb the communism, Ong Ka Ting should define 'the most extreme cases' amicably.Shouldn't he?

Do you have any say?Speak out your mind!
