Idk tonight would be the last episode of Jungle Fish 2 (on kbs world)
I didn't expect it to end this early (only 8 eps) :(

as I mentioned in prev. post, this is a drama which boldly criticized this real world. it's a real drama; not a drama which only portrayed the rich and the poor, the beauty and the beast. it's closer to my heart than most of latest k-dramas out there. i highly recommend this one. feel free to try watching it. you'll be reminded how hard you have tried to obtain an A; how stressful you were/are when you couldn't/can't answer the most difficult add maths questions and how hard for you to balance between studies and 1st love. and let's value FRIENDSHIP like Hyo-An, Hosu, Yul, Bawu, Gongji and Ra-yi :)

Dream High vs Jungle Fish 2

one of my former high school teachers once said;

"if you have anything to do during your student's life, just do it as long as it doesn't break school's regulations and laws. just do it, because you can't turn back time once you leave the high school"

these are two k-dramas that I'm watching. both dramas talk about the students' journey.

am not going to write a review on these k-dramas because they haven't finished yet. and i'm still enjoying myself watching both. thank God the former airs every Mondays and Tuesdays while the latter on weekends.

i like Dream High because it has a "Step Up" feeling; you can see one student's dancing while another singing. it's a great view to watch. it's not a musical drama!! that is one thing for sure. because I'm not a fan of musical dramas; just like Glee etc.

and speaking of drama, I can't avoid from mentioning about the cast. it's starred by 2pm's Taecyeon, Miss A's Suzy, 2pm's Wooyoung, T-Ara's Eunjung, IU - oh! i always love her singing!!!!!I used to think that she's around my age, maybe because I've seen her for so long even b4 her official debut esp. in kbs's The Star Golden Bell but only last year I know her real age. omaigod! she's much2 younger than I am.haha. what a surprise. she has a very nice singing chords for her age! and of course, my favourite star in Dream High, Kim Soohyun!hee. he's cute. this is my 1st time seeing him on small screen and I think he's not bad. I have to say that Taecyeon does best in term of acting but there's something about Soohyun's character that makes me liking him better. sorry Taecyeon!hee :)

I can't deny that the Dream High has better visual appearances. HOWEVER! I like Jungle Fish 2 better. I'm a person who likes something that can relate to myself. Jungle Fish 2 is a k-drama that speaks out about how stressful students' lives can be; how stupid teenagers can become and to what extent students can overcome problems emotionally and physically. Idk if others liking this drama as much as I do, but this is one of the best dramas which boldly portrays students' lives. it criticizes teachers who are always with the top students; but abandon the weak ones. this is a drama that never fails to move me to TEARS. it breaks my heart every time I watched each episode. not because I did feel the same like the character but I used to be a teenager; full with dreams and anticipation; there were always ups and downs at schools and most important thing, it is very much conveying the value of friendship. tell me now, HOW CAN I NOT LOVE THIS K-DRAMA? there are only two people I know from the beginning of this drama; one is MBLaq's Lee Joon and T-Ara's Jiyeon, unlike in Dream High (btw, my fav actor would be Hong Jong Hyun. he's good!) but I guess this is the power of great scripts, plots and acting skills. keep up the good work Jungle Fish 2! I tried to google about it but I found less than I expected; or in other words I guess it's not receiving good ratings. but it's OK! I like Worlds Within (starred by on & off-screen couple; Hyun Bin & Song Hye Kyo) while the drama didn't obtain good ratings. I guess this is how the 'real' dramas would end up. the good dramas get thrown away while the popular ones get praised.

i remember there's one part in SHINee's Hello Baby when Kim Jonghyun said; something like this (I cant recall the exact phrase);

What's wrong with the world that only CARES about cute things?

I can't deny that I also agree with him.

Baker King Kim Takgu is a LOVE.hee~

30 episodes altogether; and it's still airing @ kbs World (and bear in mind that kbs world is two@three weeks behind the original #KBS). but Wednesdays & Thursdays seem far away; i keep waiting for them. *sigh*

Joo Woon is a newcomer and previously he involved in musicals. and for some reasons, he reminds me of Kang Dongwon!! hmm..i always fell for the bad guys (eg. Goo Joon Pyo etc) and it's a lie if i say i don't fall for him (i mean his character as Gu Majun.hehe). but Yoon Shi Yoon tops all characters in the Baker King :)

i recommend this k-drama. it has comedy, melodrama, serious, suspense elements. just switch on #303 every weds & thurs @ 9.00pm. sit and watch. Yoon Shi Yoon & Joo Won are Ddabong! (not to mention all co-stars..what a great cast they actually make)


i wonder what kind of project will he choose in a near future ... wish he will opt for violent character for his next project.huu~

I am expecting to watch more k-dramas in 2010 and
there are at least 3 dramas
I'd like to watch once they r premiered.hehe :D

#1. Of course my one & only Lee Min Ho's latest project namely; "Personal Taste @ Private Taste". And if there isn't any changes, the first episode is scheduled to be aired on March 31, 2010 *scream*. It is said to be composed of only 16 episodes (good.not too draggy;16 is just nice for me.hehe). I'm looking forward to watch a new side of LMH as Jun Ji Ho; a straight guy pretending to be gay. Can't wait to see him more and more with his improving acting skills. Maybe he cannot be as good as Lee Byung Hun but he's better than many actors out there *cough cough cough* and btw, he's young...only 23 this year as compared to 40-year old Byung Hun (why am I comparing with Byung Hun?I don't know. maybe bcos BOF & Iris garnered so much attention from drama-goers including me)

#2. "Daemool" (in English it means 'hotshot') is another anticipating drama and it will be starred by Bi (Rain). I'm not so sure abt the details, yet. But, Rain is one of my fav hallyu stars. I may detest his singing but I love his dance & acting. His dramas left me with a great expectation; more than his movies (maybe bcos I prefer dramas than movies) and Daemool is another drama I'm eyeing on this year.

#3. "Bad Guy" is a drama rumored to be starred by Lee Min Ho before the end of 2009 and it's reported that LMH actively considered to take part in the drama. But LMH chose Personal Taste instead; whch I think is a smart decision. Kim Nam-gil is going to star in "Bad Guy". I saw him few times in the red carpet, awards etc but I don't know much about him.

Sayonara 2009

I'm not feeling well at this moment. Got flu but it's getting better. Well, I must say that I'm always in a good term with medicine. I love medicine & medicine loves ME!haha. And that helps me a lot. Last Sunday, my 20-year old brother left home (again!). Wait, he's not running away from home but he further his studies again (he already did his Diploma before) @ UTHM. That was the first time I went to Uthm; lots of building r still under construction. Hope my brother will gain as much knowledge as he can & a new girlfriend there.hehe.

Well peeps, we are approaching year 2010 in a few days. Am I feeling excited? Not really; this year (2009) has been a great year for me. Lots of things happened; I met my fav unbelievable-entertainer Jason Mraz & too-good-to-be-true Lee Min Ho this year; my two best friends, Delima Radzwa Khairudin & Nabilah Saleh got married and the most memorable is that I graduated this year!! (but my convocation day will be next year). Thanks to family, friends & the loved ones for always being there for me. Approaching 2nd day of the new year means that I will be 24.phew~ My character doesn't match someone of 24 years old.haha. No matter how difficult my life is, I just live my life to the FULLEST. There's no one & nothing in this world that can be a hindrance in my life, except with the will of ALLAH.

When it comes to entertainment, Lee Min Ho, Boys Over Flowers, IRIS, SHINEe, 2ne1 & Malaysian hit series, Nur Kasih caught my utmost attention this year esp. LMH (it goes w/o saying.hehe).

Kinah, Ilham, Nab, Herda, Ena & Kak Lia! I miss you a lot! We shared laughter & tears together and LAW brings us together. *mwah*!!!!

Mr Brain & Ninja Assassin Review

it's been a long time I haven't written anything on movie or series review, isn't it? well, it's time to get hyper about them!hehe. recently, I watched the Ninja Assassin & japanese series called Mr. Brain. Let's start the review with Ninja Assassin.

NINJA ASSASSIN
Storyline:

looking at the title of the movie, everyone can predict that it is a ninja movie or something to do with the word "NINJA". If you do, then you're absolutely right. It's about Raizo (the name given to a little boy, Asian-looklike) who has been brought to a place with one purpose i.e. to be an assassin. The training went on based on Ninja tradition (i'm not sure whether this is based on true research or not but perhaps the director/scriptwriter made research about the ninja thing). the master kept mentioning that they are from the Uzuno clan which has the unbelievable power (as they could heal their wounds by meditating...huhu). in the earlier scenes you could see their routine; fighting, competing, pool of blood; although they were still young. the feeling of hatred was instilled in their hearts, and that is how they developed into a ninja. On teh other hand, day by day and as time passed, Raizo was close to a girl and this is when you could sense the smell of love between them (smell huh?hehehe). the girl always emphasized that she still has heart (which means that she's still a human) and it is shown when she refused to kill her friend in a battle. remember , they are ment to be assassins and they have no other choices except to abide by the orders given by their master. due to that, she was locked up and the only person concerned about her is Raizo. One day, she determined to escape and find her new life outside the place and she asked Raizo to come with her. as expected, Raizo refused by telling her that the place is his destination and this is when the storyline developed. she failed in the escape and was caught redhanded. and due to that, the master ordered a man called Takeshi to kill her. Knowing that Raizo has feeling for the girl, he gave a glance to Raizo before killing her. due to the killing, the betrayal began. After Raizo's first task of murdering a man, he attacked the master and the rest of ninja. what happen to him? you chould watch this movie. Although the New Moon is an IN thing today, but I chose to watch NInja Assassin instead, simply because i'm not a Twilight fan to begin with.

My (sincere) Comment:

To be honest, I watched this movie because of Rain. I'm not a big fan of him but I know how good he can be as an actor. I watched his acting in Sangdoo Go to School, Fullhouse, A Love to kill, I'm a Cyborg, but that's OK & Speed Racer as well. I must say I started to like his acting during the Fullhouse craze (hehe) and while watching A Love to kill, I cried like a crazy woman.hehe. Speed Racer is definitely the most lousy film I ever watched & the fact that Rain started his Hollywood acting career with this movie is simply wrong. But, he is fortunate because the Ninja Assassin is a good action movie; full with actions, swords, blood (erkk..). I must admit that the actions are too much to bear (at least for me) as I couldn't sit still until the end of the show. Luckily, I didn't bring my younger cousins (aged btwn 8-12 years old) although they kept insisting to join me. It's an okay movie, and it's better if you watch it in cinema instead of buying dvd and watch it at home. Make sure you have no problem with your heart or whatsoever ok!.hehe

japanese series 2009

This is Takuya Kimura's latest series (correct me if I'm wrong) and as a tv lover, I always love Takuya Kimura. His earlier masterpiece, a famous japanese series called Beautiful Life is one of my fav series. In this drama, he is Tsukumo Ryusuke who is a weird, childish, yet brilliant neuroscientist working for the National Research Institute of Police Science (IPS). Tsukumo tackles Japan's most difficult-to-solve crimes and scandals with his most brilliant and twisted criminal minds. Acting in such a drama, I must say that this is a good start for him after few years keeping his distance from publicity. Like I mentioned earlier, Tsukomo is a weird creature who loves banana so much. His laughing is scary yet at the same time hilarious. It's a must-watch drama; just like CSI and other investigation series. And maybe because I'm so used to CSI, I could always predict who the culprit was.hehe. Watch it to determine whwther you have a criminal mind or not :P

did you know the feeling when you have received two news at the same time; one is good and another is bad? I did. The feeling is hmm...something that I cannot put into words. Especially when the bad news has a greater impact than the good one, that is UNBEARABLE. well, only God knows better...

Speaking of school, there is no one day without workload. Unlucky huh? and obviously tiring. But, this is the price to get a law degree.hehe. Neway, these are my need-to-do checklists (and i hope i can settle them within this weekend...lalalala. eventho it's impossible.hehe):

I'm counting days to meet (or see) Lee Min Ho in real life. Like I mentioned in the last entry, this could be my once in a lifetime chance to meet him; so you can understand how I feel about his visit to Malaysia. Honestly. I'm thrilled but at the same time, nervous (yeah, I am.thr is so much what-ifs in my head). To make my dream comes true, I'm (and still) planning all sort of things with few friends esp. Ilham (she's the real star-stalker!! MU players, Jason Mraz, Toni Qattan? just name it!hehe).

It's unbearable to have a feeling of missing someone

I think it is normal to have a feeling of longing for someone. Be it man or woman, this is one of natural feelings that we may experience.

Yesterday, one of my good friends asked me while we were having brunch, "Nad, when was the last time you met Sheh (my bf)?". I replied, "Nearly one and half month.Why?"; as I wondered why she posed that kind of question. She mumbled to herself, "That long? I haven't met my bf for one week and I thought I could die missing him". Then our conversation went on as I explained to her, "I had to as we have our own things and interests".

The conversation on the boyfriend thingy was short but it was enough to make me feel, "I do miss my bf, we love each other dearly but we cannot be clingy forever, 24/7". That's what I thought. It is a lie if I say I don't miss him. I miss him, everyday and I once told him that I could miss him even when he's with me; when he asked me whether I did miss him or not. Come on! Of course I miss him everyday, if not I won't be this loyal for almost 5 years.hehe.

True, and very true that I hate seeing myself to be too dependent on my other half and that's why I always remind myself to keep my womanly pride in its rightful position. Sometimes we did quarrel (sometimes? no...quite often.hehe) due to my egoistic nature (that is one devilish side of me. can't help it.phew~) but after a while, we reconciled and started laughing & making fun of each other.

The longer we are having this relationship,
the deeper the magic word LOVE goes in
and the more often we argue,
the more realistic couple we have become.

Whatever it is, it's unbearable to have a feeling of missing someone. I salute those in long-distance relationships, they make love sounds epic.hehe. One thing for sure, I believe that as long as my other half trusts me and I trust him, if it takes even years to see each other, we would definitely make it :)

It's rare to see me talking about this lovey-dovey thing but I feel relieved after writing this :)

You're Beautiful

I know you are.hehe. But, what I meant by You're Beautiful here is one brand new series and it's already premiered few days ago (2 episodes already). I have a good feeling about this drama; I think it could be one of my fav dramas for this year (perhaps, after BOF and Brilliant Legacy.hehe). You're Beautiful's casts are Jang Geun Suk, Park Shin Hye, Lee Hong Ki of FT Island, Jung Yong Hwa and UEE of Afterschool.

Honestly, I'm eyeing on Jang Geun Suk (haha); he's 1987er just like Mino and it goes without saying that he's one of Korean pretty boys (except in this drama, I loathe his clothes as they look less masculine; maybe it's just the concept of the drama).


Hongki of FT Island is a wonderful lead singer
and I love his voice, but when it comes to acting, I'm not sure.

of course I know Park Shin Hye (I mentioned about her indirectly in my previous entries; remember the girl in Etude House CF with Mino? This is the girl.hehe). All I can say about her is that her tomboyish look suits her and it reminds me of Yoon Eun Hye in Coffee Prince.

I don't know Yong Hwa at all, he looks unfamiliar to me
but I'm looking forward to watch his acting as well.

Since I was little, my parents never came and told me, "Open up your books and study". I didn't believe in studying hard and I still don't; all I believe is to study smart. I will study whenever I'm in a good mood (because I can never concentrate when I'm upset/angry) and there is any scheduled test/exam. And one thing about me, is that my brain absorbs more efficiently in the last-minute study. Whatever it is, I'm lazy enough to study at this moment. Once I open up a book/note and start reading, a minute later I will start yawning and day-dreaming. The laziness is strangling me; and I really need to wake up from the dream. *die*.

A brief update on drama series. I'm watching japanese series called Absolute Boyfriend and there are 9 episodes left (I only managed to finish 2 episodes in one night. Like I mentioned earlier, I'm not that into Japanese dramas). The storyline is a bit off and normally I won't watch that kind of story but because my younger sister recommended it, I started watching it yesterday. I read somewhere, that Korea is considering to produce the korean version of Absolute Boyfriend (another remake?hmm..). In my opinion, there are pros and cons in remaking a movie/drama. The positive side is that the drama is already known to people and it will help the promotion of it. However, the negative side is something that any producer should bear in mind. Proposing to remake a drama like Meteor Garden (the taiwanese version of Boys Over Flowers as it was followed by japanese and korean version) or Hana Kimi (the taiwanese and japanese version), the latest version should be a way better or at least; at par with the former/earlier version. This is because the fans/audience may end up comparing between the former and the latter and this is common. Comparison is good as it will generate audience's minds to judge which version is better but the effect of such a comparison is fatal to the drama itself. If the latter version is less appealing than other version, the ratings may be doomed (i think the ratings though sometimes directors/actors said that it is not that important but believe it or not, it is important. Popular dramas will be broadcasted few times like Fullhouse/Autumn in My Heart as compared to unpopular dramas.hehe).

I found many pics and vids of Bae Soo Bin and I feel like flying~.hehe. Hmm...mentioning about guys, guys and guys frequently may lead to misunderstanding sometimes.hehe. When I watch series/movies, I want to be a satisfied customer; therefore once I get stuck with one and continue watching it, I will appreciate the actress/actor. So, don't misunderstand me; yes, I do like hot guys (haha.day by day I become too frank) but good look is not everything. One's talent is what I'm anticipating from any movie/drama. But, it's a bonus if they are beautiful creatures like Mino (younger one) & Soo Bin (older one).hehe. These are few photos I found *eye candy*:
